Very nice pose and great work !
I am speechless.
Jim your work is amazing and an inspiration. I need to work with more live models but I'm slowly grasping how much skill is needed to be at your level. The gesture, the shifting of weight, the pull of gravity, direction, shadows, bony landmarks, and skin folds and so much more! Man! You're so talented. All that not to mention your texturing which I presume takes up half of the whole process. Kudos!
Thanks for your nice critic
how big is it? Life size?
wow great, like the weight in it
very impressive my friend ,cool
It still looks wet. What kind of clay is this?
Its ordinary water based clay
What makes it monster clay? Sorry I'm fairly new to sculpting, hope you don't mind me bugging you about this.
If u want to sculpt small figurs, u want to use chavant, its expensive but does not dry out. When sculpting bigger ones, like the torso, u want to go for the water based, its far less expensive, but it drys out, so u need to constantly spray it down with water and cover it with plastic bags when u dont sculpt on it. If u water it down to much, it will also fall apart. Hope the info help u. Dont mind answering questions. Good luck
I am in love with this. So elegant and full of grace and yet very naturalistic...
